John McCain and the Press

He has over and over gained a reputation for being a tough guy (one that I don't dispute, he's a tough cookie, to be sure) but more and more the stress of the campaign seems to be bringing out John McCain's temper.

Just take a look at how he treats a reporter who has been critical of him.

I think that, as someone seeking the chief executive office, he should have a bit more diplomatic savvy than that. But Graham's face is just priceless too...

This is not the John McCain I want to see. If the reporter wrote unflattering pieces not based in fact, it is up to him to talk to that reporter privately and correct any inaccuracies (notice I specify inaccuracies - merely not liking what the reporter has to say is not grounds for anything). McCain also needs to treat everyone, reporters included, with respect. I struggle to see how disrespecting a member of the press who I assume travels with the candidate could possibly be in McCain's best interests. Unfortunate.
